GOALS Non-Profit of Anaheim partners with the EMHS Nature Center

This summer the GOALS non-profit located in Anaheim worked at the El Modena HS Nature Center.  The group consisted of Les Gonzales, leaders and younger workers.  They worked 3 days a week in the morning for 5 weeks.  Other than general maintenance they cleared out an area and installed hardscape and California native plants which will attract butterflies and animals.  The hardscape and plants are also applicable to home gardens.  GOALS is located in the Anaheim area under the jurisdiction of Anaheim City Councilman, Jordan Brandman.  Jordan is a graduate of El Modena High School and had chemistry taught by Jeanne Carter, director of the nature center.  Also pictured is Matt Strickland, AP, and Dr. Hansen, Superintendent of OUSD.  Both GOALS and the Nature Center received proclamations from Jordan and the City of Anaheim.
