Principal's Message

July 2018

Dear Parents and Students:

Welcome to the 2018 -19 school year at El Modena High School!  School will begin for all students at 8:00 am on Wednesday, August 22, 2018.  At that time, all students will report to their first period class where schedules will be distributed.  Freshmen can find first period classes posted at the end of the 200 building, sophomores at the end of the 300 building, juniors at the end of the 400 building, and seniors at the end of the 500 building.

Registration is scheduled for August 10th for freshmen, August 13th for seniors, August 14th for juniors, August 15th for sophomores.  Please allow one to two hours for the entire process, which includes the verification of classes, collection of forms, issuance of identification cards, and opportunities to purchase items such as yearbooks, locks, and P.E. clothes.

Parents must have an AERIES Portal in order to register for the 2018-2019 school year. Please bring the appropriate printouts to your designated registration day.  Technical help and printers will be available on campus.

Students are highly encouraged to take advantage of their scheduled appointment date and time to ensure a smooth beginning to the school year.  There will be make-up registration day on Thursday, August 16th. Those who must miss the registration process will turn in forms and complete registration on the first day of school.  Please carefully review all the information on the website and complete the necessary forms, as directed.  Please note that purchases can be made online, which can significantly reduce your time in line.  Checks made payable to El Modena will also be accepted.

School pictures will be taken at registration for all students, free of charge, so we will have a picture for the yearbook and the ability to issue an El Modena High School identification card. The purchase of additional picture packages is optional.

Note:  There is one issue that could negatively impact your student’s registration process.  If your student owes fines for damaged or lost school property (textbooks, ID cards, etc.), he/she will be prevented from registering until said fines are paid in full.

Please feel free to call the school at 714-997-6331 if you have any questions or concerns.  The Main Office will be open most of the summer.
