Textbook Information

Course Description AP Calculus AB is roughly equivalent to a first semester college calculus course devoted to topics in differential and integral calculus. The AP course covers topics in these areas, including concepts and skills of limits, derivatives, definite integrals, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. The course teaches students to approach calculus concepts and problems when they are represented graphically, numerically, analytically, and verbally, and to make connections amongst these representations. Students learn how to use technology to help solve problems, experiment, interpret results, and support conclusions.

AP Calculus Boot Camp
Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday
August 7, 8, and 9, 2018

The AP Calculus Boot Camp will be concentrating on reviewing material from all math classes you have had so far. This will include, but not be limited to, the following topics: parent functions and transformations, exponential and logarithmic functions and equations, unit circle, trig graphs and transformations and solving trig equations, area and volume formulas, factoring, quadratic formula, finding zeros, completing the square, conic sections involving finding formulas and solving equations.
This Boot Camp is will focus on those students who are coming into any level of calculus
directly from Pre-Calculus. There will be no BC-only focused review. Both incoming AB and BC students may benefit!
Please sign-up with Mr. Hojnacki or Mrs. Lissner by Wednesday June 13. This is in addition to the sign-ups for Boot Camp that will be through the front office.
