EMHS Robotics Team earns awards at UCI Rescue Robots Competition

Our ElMo robotics team is currently participating in the anual UCI rescue robots competition. This past weekend our robotics team went to OC Fairgrounds to participate in the first round of the competition, the design review. We competed against 6 teams, 6 other schools. Our school won in 2 categories. We received the Bronze award (3rd place) for 2 types of robotic vehicles; Design Review Aerial and Design Review Ground. Attached are pictures from the event. The second round of the event will take place at UCI in 2 weeks. AT that time we will demonstration how our robot designs actually perform. The members of the team in the picture are Alejandra Hernandez, London Wright & Erick Yaungsri. Additional students that participated this weekend but could not stay for the awards ceremony include: Emilio Giorgio Spadaro & Michael Alfonso.
